Ideas Foundation partner with brands, agencies and schools to get creativity on the curriculum and young people, from all walks of life, into creative careers. Ideas Foundation has seen for themselves the difference creative learning can make to students’ lives through their free, brand or agency-led workshops.
With locations in London and Manchester, Ideas Foundation were ready to launch BIG in the city of Leeds. This time, in partnership with Burberry. Burberry Inspire is the new found in-school arts and culture programme to study impact of arts education on young people’s lives.
The programme will be delivered in eight schools in Yorkshire, and run by four eminent, local organisations across theatre, film, dance and art: Leeds Playhouse, Leeds Young Film, Northern Ballet and The Hepworth Wakefield.
With such a huge press launch underway, Ideas Foundation were in dire need of social media attended to, to effectively communicate between the different departments synergistic to the brand and Burberry guidelines.
Although social media activity was to be heavily built around Burberry Inspire, Ideas Foundation wanted to take this opporutnity to have a focus on direct traffic to the website and digital platforms whilst to organically drive awareness at scale.
Ahead of the campaign launch, we devised a strategy that subtly shifted the look of each social feed across Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We pulled in all the high-quality images in the IF media library, and built a database of copy for each target audience with a diverse range of viewpoints.
A circle of communication commenced with all the #BurberryInspire partners and the launch video embargoed for Monday 8th October.
The following three weeks consisted of nurturing a unique community with #BurberryInspire, Ideas Foundation and partner updates, whilst aligning with some of the pain points of #ideasMakers. Having spent time at their workshops, we discovered how heavily invested young #IdeasMakers were in Instagram.
We took this research and redesigned Instagram highlight covers with an on-brand layout and segmented projects into brands they’ve partnered with, Ideas Makers community, events and the team.
