The Client

BlackCurve is a price management and optimisation [SaaS] company. Their cloud-based software helps eCommerce companies find the optimal price for their goods or services through advanced pricing algorithms and machine learning.

Problem

BlackCurve is one of the most exciting startups we’ve gotten to work for. After securing investment in February 2018, they wanted to upgrade their production quality, and take on a fresh approach to talking head videos, commonly used amongst B2B companies.

Solution

First, we set out to up the production level of a series of educational videos, featuring BlackCurve’s CEO & Founder, Philip Huthwaite. We decided to start pre-production with a script share approach, kicking it off collaborative. Talent for each video was centred around dissecting different facets of pricing and how different types of companies approach it currently, segueing the viewer to provide a core solution: BlackCurve. Our work for BlackCurve extends far beyond creating long-form content, the post-production that really helps set BlackCurve apart. We produced bite-sized videos to entice viewers across LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, optimised for mobile with a call to action featured in the video to cross-promote the full video.

Results

After developing a set of assets, and advising how they should use the videos we produced for lead generation, BlackCurve set out to secure their series B round and managed to secure £1.5 million funding to expand how they serve mid to large multichannel retailers across industries such as sporting equipment, DIY, garden & outdoor, kitchen & home goods, consumer electronics & photography, pet supplies, stationery, automotive parts, toys & games, beauty & healthcare.
