The Brief
OCTOBA Skin launched with the need to introduce a vegan, cruelty-free way for people to cleanse, and hydrate their skin. The Founder developed a deep passion for skincare, and after several years of testing, OCTOBA launched online to an Instagram audience. However, OCTOBA quickly ran out of content, didn’t coin the brand story and was looking for ways to drive engagement. The Founder was in need of a marketing plan, social media support, meta ads help and platform set-up.
Execution
To get the ball rolling, I developed a marketing plan based on the information the founder provided in our discovery call. A separate document was created for the captions, of which you can see below. Besides each caption, I linked images that were already in the library, created some new assets, or referenced content that the founder’s photographer could take to give the Founder a sense of direction. This was then followed up with developing the Pinterest account and liaising with the Founder to set up the Instagram Shop.
Results
OCTOBA Skin saw significant growth across Instagram, which generated 20% more sales within the first two months of the plan being executed. Pinterest generated 1.5k views, and the Founder has a great sense of direction on how to develop the brand.
