The Brief

Ideas Foundation is a youth charity that partners with brands, agencies and schools to get creativity on the curriculum and young people, from all walks of life, into creative careers. Ideas Foundation has seen for themselves the difference creative learning can make to students’ lives through their free, brand or agency-led workshops. With locations in London and Manchester, Ideas Foundation was ready to communicate its social justice work online and connect with stakeholders, students and colleges across the United Kingdom. For this project, Ideas Foundation worked with Prisca Moyesa.

Challenge Accepted!

Ideas Foundation’s key target audience to show up to the workshops were aged 14-23. In order to make their brand more approachable to Gen Z, I identified the insights and stories to share that not only would drive attention, sign-ups and ultimately attendance but raise the valuation of the charity for future stakeholders. I was given a library of assets but also developed Instagram and Twitter posts on Adobe Photoshop using the charity’s branding to communicate event announcements and creative industry news.

Results

Within weeks of working with Ideas Foundation, the internal team noticed a more cohesive look to their feed and timelines across Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, and a massive shift in engagement. Behind the scenes, more stakeholders were referencing their online presence and how it drove their interest in investment, parents were excited to see an update on their children’s creative education and young people were more informed about creative careers and aware of the events coming to a space near them. This produced results beyond those that Ideas Foundation expected and led to further industry partnerships and more briefs with Prisca Moyesa, Moyesa & Co.

Social Media Assets

Here are a few photos I used of the workshops, branded content to drive engagement and attendance.

Gen Z had to feel seen, to feel comfortable to attend.

“Prisca manages all the Ideas Foundation's social media rather brilliantly.”
